Our Renfield Street location is very special to us. With it's stunning Victorian tiled interior and original features it really is a sight to behold. Over the years it's been home to both Gin71 in the evenings, and our sister business Cup Tea Rooms during the day. The location was the inspiration for our name - Gin71 to match 71 Renfield Street. This became the spark behind the idea of including 71 different gins on our menu!
In recent years, we expanded the location by adding De Quincey Lounge. Located on the lower level, this additional space is the perfect spot for private events and parties, or to enjoy live music at our Gin71 Live nights in an intimate and cosy setting. DQ Lounge is named after De Quincey House, the building in which our venue resides. The building in turn takes it's name from Thomas De Quincey, who lived in a home on the location back in 1841. De Quincey also lends his name to the parent company that manages Gin71 - TDQ Group.
